Automatic Bag-in-Box Filler

The automatic Bag-in-Box filler is designed for wineries and food producers that need automatic bag opening and closing, vacuum-assisted filling and controlled dosing. Its stainless steel control panel features a 7-inch SIEMENS touchscreen PLC for setting filling volumes, cycle parameters and calibration. The standard machine includes a self-priming rubber-impeller pump rated at 4,500 L/h.

Once the operator positions the bag, the machine manages tap removal and replacement, air evacuation, inert-gas flushing, filling and closure. The system is equipped for nitrogen injection. It also includes a BURKERT electromagnetic flow sensor and auto-tuning functions for adjusting fill-volume calibration.

The standard configuration is intended for wine. Dedicated options allow the machine to be configured for compatible fruit juices, olive oil and other liquids, depending on product characteristics and filling requirements. The filler handles Bag-in-Box bags and compatible tall pouches from 1 L.

Automatic filling cycle and standard equipment

• Automatic tap handling: removal and replacement during the filling cycle, with the operator positioning the bag.
• Vacuum and nitrogen: air evacuation and inert-gas injection integrated into the filling process.
• Filling control: 7-inch SIEMENS touchscreen PLC with volume settings, calibration and auto-tuning functions.
• Flow measurement: BURKERT stainless steel electromagnetic flow sensor.
• Standard pump: self-priming positive-displacement electric pump with rubber impeller and bypass, rated at 4,500 L/h.

• Construction: stainless steel frame with four lockable castors and two adjustable levelling feet.
• Cleaning connection: stainless steel fitting for the CIP (clean-in-place) circuit.
• Liquid connections: 1.5-inch Tri-Clamp (TriClover) fitting and food-grade rubber hoses.
• Utilities: single-phase 220 V supply and compressed air at a minimum of 6 bar; compressor not included.

Indicative hourly output

• 3 L bags: 380 bags/hour.
• 5 L bags: 240 bags/hour.
• 10 L bags: 210 bags/hour.
• 20 L bags: 140 bags/hour.

These are indicative figures for the standard configuration. Actual output depends on the product, bag format and operating conditions. The pump's 4,500 L/h rating is not the finished-bag production rate.

Options for products and production lines

Optional equipment must be selected separately according to the liquid, container and installation.

• Fruit-juice kit: full-bore electromagnetic flow sensor for compatible viscous liquids and products containing suspended solids.
• Olive-oil kit: stainless steel turbine sensor.
• Electronic variable speed drive: 1.5 kW, single-phase.
• Alternative 9,300 L/h pump: for a higher-flow configuration; finished-bag output depends on the selected setup.
• 2,000 L/h lobe pump: available only with the fruit-juice kit and variable speed drive.
• Food-grade nitrogen pressure regulator: for the nitrogen supply.
• Air supply: professional silenced, oil-free 24 L compressor on a trolley.
• Filtration: 10-inch PVC filter housing, 30-inch stainless steel filter housing and three-stage filtration kit. Check cartridge specifications and supply for the selected configuration.
• Pasteuriser connection: collection tray, electronic float and junction box; a three-way pneumatic solenoid valve is available in combination with these components.
• Closure handling: pneumatic clamp for special caps and dedicated kit for bags with aseptic-style caps.
• 0.7 and 1 L bottle filling kit: requires the electronic variable speed drive.
• Industry 4.0 preparation: available as an optional configuration.
• Ultraclean system: optional equipment for start- and end-of-cycle sanitation.

Automatic filler or semi-automatic filler?

This automatic model performs tap opening and closing as part of its filling cycle. On the semi-automatic Bag-in-Box filler with pump, the operator removes and replaces the tap manually. AgriStore also offers a semi-automatic filler without pump for installations requiring a different liquid-supply setup.

This machine automates the filling and tap-handling cycle; it should not be confused with a complete packaging line that also forms and seals the outer cartons.
