Deodorising Activated Carbon 1 kg
AgriStore di Cosenza V.Deodorising carbon is a product specifically designed for wine, vinegar, liqueurs, grappa and spirits. Its purpose is to mask unpleasant odours produced by substances such as sulphides.
In fact, some substances added to wine often generate off-odours reminiscent of rotten eggs, garlic, cabbage and wine lees. Using deodorising carbon makes it possible to eliminate them effectively and safely, as it is a plant-derived compound.
Activated carbon appears as a very fine black powder and is supplied in 1 kg bags. Its use is permitted by the EEC in controlled doses; to achieve the best result, carbons with a high degree of activation and large adsorption surfaces have been selected. The product fully complies with national and EU regulations.
How to use deodorising carbon
For correct use, determine the quantity needed to achieve a satisfactory result. Therefore, carry out several preliminary laboratory tests. Add the deodorising carbon to the batch and agitate about every 15 minutes, since carbon acts by contact; then wait for the product to settle completely to the bottom and rack.
If sedimentation is too slow or the beverage is needed urgently, proceed with filtration.
