Beer Priming Tank – 300 to 1000 L

The beer priming tank is designed for the priming stage used in the beer carbonation process. It is entirely designed, engineered and manufactured in Italy.

During priming, the added sugar must be thoroughly mixed with the beer. For this purpose, the tank is equipped with a stainless-steel mixing shaft driven by a geared motor with speed adjustment.

The speed of the mixing shaft plays an important role in achieving a homogeneous mixture. The beer priming tank is also designed to minimise oxidation, which can cause undesirable aromas and flavours in the beer.

Priming and the carbonation process

Priming is used to obtain a livelier, more sparkling beer through carbonation. While homebrewers can add sugar directly to individual bottles for secondary fermentation, breweries and microbreweries require equipment that allows the process to be managed on a larger production scale.

This priming tank provides a dedicated system for mixing the added sugar thoroughly with the beer before the subsequent production stages.

• Polished internal finish and externally dimpled (“fiorettata”);
• Thicknesses: shell 1.2 mm – bottom 1.5 mm – top 1.5 mm – legs 1.5 mm;
• Stainless-steel spray ball;
• Sight level with stainless-steel protection;
• Total and partial drain with stainless-steel butterfly valves;
• 10° conical bottom;
• Pyramidal legs welded to the bottom with adjustable feet;
• Motor: 0.25 HP – 220 V;
• Gearmotor/variator: 19–100 rpm;
• Stainless-steel mixing shaft;
• 2 height-adjustable stainless-steel paddles, Ø 370 mm.
