Benchtop Plate Filter for Wine, Olive Oil, Beer & Spirits

The benchtop plate filter for wine, olive oil, beer and spirits is designed for small producers who need to separate suspended particles from liquids during filtration.

In winemaking, the filter helps remove suspended solids and improve wine clarity. The filtration process can be adapted to different requirements, such as rough filtration or clarification, by selecting filter sheets with the appropriate filtration grade.

How the plate filter works

The liquid passes through porous filter sheets that retain particles according to the selected filtration grade.

The machine uses 20 × 20 cm filter sheets. The standard 6-sheet configuration provides a filtering surface of 0.24 m².

Construction and equipment

Made in Italy, the filter features an AISI 304 stainless steel base and frame with food-grade polypropylene plates.

A pressure gauge is included for monitoring the filtration process.

The standard configuration is supplied without a pump. An optional pump can be selected according to the liquid being processed.

Optional pump configurations

The filter is supplied without a pump as standard. Two optional pump types are available:

• Centrifugal pump: suitable for wine or aqueous liquids without suspended solids. The specified single-phase AISI 304 stainless steel centrifugal pump has a power of 0.33 HP, a rotation speed of 2800 rpm and a stated pressure of 1.9 bar.
• Flexible rubber impeller pump: suitable for must, wine, olive oil, beer and spirits.

Select the pump according to the product to be filtered and the required application.

Optional 10-sheet version

A 10-sheet version is also available, with the following specifications:

• Filtering surface: 0.4 m²;
• Stated wine throughput: 130–280 L/h;
• Stated olive oil throughput: 130 L/h.
