How to choose a wine transfer pump

A wine transfer pump is used to move wine, must, vinegar or other compatible food-grade liquids from one container to another with less manual effort.

Before purchasing, consider the required flow rate, construction material, power supply, pump type, available accessories and the quantity of liquid that needs to be transferred.

Stainless steel centrifugal pumps

Stainless steel centrifugal pumps can be used for fast transfer operations and continuous liquid flow.

When choosing a centrifugal pump, check the required flow rate, head, fitting diameter and compatibility with the liquid being transferred.

Positive displacement wine pumps

Positive displacement wine pumps are another option when more controlled transfer is required. Depending on the model, the range may include coaxial versions, pulley-reduction versions, models with mechanical speed variators or pumps with electronic inverters.

Trolley-mounted pumps are practical when the machine needs to be moved frequently between containers, tanks or different areas of the cellar.
