As you may know, the result of herb distillation is not pure oil, but a mixture of oil and aromatic water. Traditionally, separating the two requires letting the mixture settle and then extracting the oil with a pipette or oil lever. This process is long, tedious, and not always efficient. The continuous separatory funnel speeds up and simplifies this step, ensuring better results.
The operating principle is based on the different specific weights of the two liquids. Compared to a manual separatory funnel, this accessory can be placed directly under the distillate outlet, allowing the essential oil to separate from the water automatically through a system that channels only the oil.
