How to choose a fruit press

A fruit press is used to compress fruit or another compatible product once it has been prepared, helping separate the liquid from the solid part.

The most suitable model depends on the type of fruit or product, the quantity to be processed and the level of practicality required. A compact press may be sufficient for small quantities, while larger manual presses or hydropresses can be considered when the amount of product increases.

Small multi-purpose presses

Small multi-purpose presses are compact solutions designed for small batches and versatile processing needs.

Manual fruit presses

A manual fruit press is suitable when fruit has already been prepared and needs to be compressed to extract liquid.

Fruit presses are commonly used as apple presses when prepared apples need to be pressed for juice. The same general pressing principle may also be used with pears and other suitable fruit.

Fruit hydropresses

Fruit hydropresses use water pressure to compress the prepared product. This makes the pressing stage more practical and reduces the manual effort required compared with a fully manual pressing system.

They can be used with suitable prepared fruit to obtain juice or other liquids for subsequent processing.

Fruit crusher vs fruit press: what is the difference?

A fruit crusher performs the previous preparation stage by breaking and crushing the fruit. A fruit press is used afterwards, when the prepared product is ready to be compressed and pressed.

The two types of equipment can therefore be complementary: first the fruit is prepared with a crusher, then it is transferred to a press, basket press or hydropress according to the required process.
