Barrel mastic sealant, also known as enoplastic mastic, is used to seal wine barrels, casks and vats against holes and cracks that may form between staves.
It is a white, semi-solid paste made from high-purity fatty substances. It is odourless and long-lasting, as it does not develop mould or turn acidic.
Its adhesion, impermeability and stability help provide an effective seal for barrels and other wooden containers.
The barrel mastic is supplied in 500 g slabs.
