Agglomerated cork stoppers are obtained by grinding cork, which is then selected, discarding the good parts from the woody, heavier ones. The granules are then mixed with food-grade adhesive resins and refined to reach the desired size. Finally, they are ground to the required finish and slightly chamfered at the ends to prevent crumbling both during corking and uncorking. The final paraffin coating helps regulate air exchange between the inside and outside of the bottle while preserving the natural character of the cork. Suitable for Rhine, Bordeaux and similar bottles.
