72-Liter Steam Distillation Still - Mushroom Condenser (Copper)

The 72-liter steam distillation still – mushroom condenser, also known as an essential oil distiller, is ideal for the steam distillation (hydrodistillation) of all types of essential oils. It features a direct-cooling “mushroom” head and a filter column fitted between the boiler and the pre-chamber to enhance reflux and filtration. Made entirely of copper, the still includes a thermometer to read the boiler’s internal temperature so you can separate the heads, hearts, and tails of your run. This essential oil alembic is handcrafted by Italian master artisans and has a base thickness of 1.03 mm.

Suitable for the production of essential oils (perfumes, liqueurs, remedies) and spirits (grappa, brandy, whisky, fruit distillates, etc.). It can also be used for high-proof alcohol such as vodka, where legally permitted.

We recommend pairing the extractor with a separating funnel to make it easier to separate essential oils from the aromatic water (hydrosol).
