500 L stainless steel conical bottom wine tank with oil floating lid, designed for winemaking and ideal for practical handling of racking and deposits. This is a Made in Italy tank built from AISI 304 stainless steel (18/10), with a mirror-polished interior and a “fiorettata” (patterned) external finish.
The oil floating lid system helps protect wine from oxygen: the stainless steel lid rests on the wine surface and vaseline oil (oenological oil) is poured around the edge to fill the gap between the lid and the tank wall, creating a barrier against air. The lid automatically lowers as the wine level drops.
The key advantage of the conical bottom is during draining and cleaning: residues collect at the bottom and can be handled more easily. The tank is supplied with a dust cover and includes a sample tap for quick checks.
