Wine Barrels

How to choose a wooden wine barrel

Choosing a wooden wine barrel depends on the intended use, the required capacity and the type of wood. The range includes barrels for storage and ageing, as well as smaller or decorative models for other uses.

Before purchasing, check the capacity, overall dimensions, wood type and any accessories supplied or available for the individual barrel.

Chestnut barrels

Chestnut barrels are available in different capacities for storing wine, vinegar and spirits. Depending on the model, they may also be used as rustic decorative elements.

Smaller barrels may include accessories such as a tap, bung or stand. For larger capacities, always check the individual product page to confirm which accessories are included and which are optional.

Oak wine barrels

Oak wine barrels are available for wine and spirits storage and ageing. The correct choice depends on the capacity, beverage, intended use and the characteristics of the individual barrel.

When choosing an oak barrel, always check the product specifications, dimensions and included accessories before purchasing.

Bag in Box barrels and decorative barrels

Bag in Box barrels combine the appearance of a wooden barrel with an internal pouch for dispensing wine. They can be used for tastings, events, catering and direct serving.

Some wooden barrels are also suitable for decorative use, including barrel tables and rustic furnishing elements for cellars, venues and other traditional settings.

Accessories for wine barrels

Accessories such as taps, stands, bungs, topping-up devices, sulphur discs and barrel mastic may be used to complete or maintain a wooden barrel.
