The chestnut barrel is the classic cellar container and is the ideal product for storing wine and vinegar. It is handcrafted in Italy by skilled artisans to ensure a high-quality product that fully reflects Italy’s rich winemaking heritage.
It consists of several chestnut wood staves held together by iron hoops, with the number of hoops varying depending on the barrel’s capacity. The top of the barrel features a hole, also called a bung hole, designed for filling, while one of the side faces will need a hole for inserting a tap (usually the barrel is supplied without this hole, which must be added by the user in the desired position and flow).
The barrel has always been one of the most used products in wineries for winemaking and storing our beloved wine.
